Nationals VP of Player Development Bob Boone on Stephen Strasburg
According to Mr. Boone, the right-hander, "...feels great. He's just on flat ground right now, and we're gonna be as cautious as we possibly could for anybody, and we expect him back maybe August, mid-August."
Sounds like he will be back to full strength in 2012. He could come cheap in 2011 keeper league drafts.

Good try
So i think i should protect him at 5 and accept at worst a 2012 at 10?-

protect
I think I have changed my stance on that now…..think it is worth keeping him at $5 this year and seeing how he pitches in ST 2012.
But I was mentioning keeper leagues in general.
I am throwing him back in my other NL keeper league. I have him at $14 in that league. He will go to $19 next year. Not worth it for me as I can only keep 10 guys in that league. Also pondering throwing back Lincecum at $28.

My mind
I go back and forth but think he’d definitely cost more than 5 at the draft. The question becomes how much he does go for and does thatt approach 15.
If it does then keeping him will preserve quite a bit of current draft dollars and come at a discount to 2012.
What throwing him back would get is the 2013 season and an option for 2014.

fair point
I would be surprised to see him going to $15. Santana will be in the draft as well, and I don;t see him going $10.
