Mike Feifel, MLBFP Staff Writer/Lead Photographer, traveled to Reading, PA last week to get a first-hand look at Stephen Strasburg. Here’s some sweet photos, scouting observations, and gameday quotes from his field trip. Needless to say, “Mad Mike” came away quite impressed.

Scouting Observations

 This start was important for the Nationals’ stud prospect. He had faced the Phillies Double-A team the week before and simply owned them – striking out six in five innings of one-hit baseball. How would Strasburg perform against a solid lineup that was getting a second look at him? That was the topic at issue among the press during batting practice.
