Trade Analysis-Winner/Loser Poll
Trade just got accepted and wanted to see what you guys thought. First off, I will make the playoffs, but likely won't get past the second round and I will have a tough match-up. So I am sorta in rebuilding mode. I will be Team A in the following trade:
Team A GETS: Justin Upton & Elvis Andrus
Team B GETS: Yunel Escobar, Martin Prado, John Jay, and Jacoby Ellsbury
Only Jacoby and Martin were going to be keepers, so in the rebuilding mode, I believe I received an upgrade in the OF and know I was able to get the better deal on SS.
However, I did give up a lot, and wanted to see if I gave too much or what. Comments are appreciated and votes are simple!
On a side note, and to get to the word limit, I do have Oscar Taveras as a Keeper so he will take center next year with Hamilton and Upton in LF and RF respectively.

A wins, easy
The old “team that gets the best player wins” thing applies, especially considering A got the two best players.

ellsbury v andrus
I agree with you that Ellsbury is probably a little better at this point in the two respective careers, however saying that Ellsbury is considerably better is a stretch. If you look at the numbers since Ellsbury came back from injury there numbers are very comparable.
ESPN has Andrus at 27 and Ellsbury at 37
Roto has Andrus at 36 and Ellsbury at 10
Andrus is only 23 and Ellsbury is 28

Zips ROS
has ellsbury at .289/.340/.443 with 4 hrs and 10 SB
has andrus at .283/.356/.369 with 1 hr and 11 SB
similar speed, but ellsbury has him trumped by ~.075 in SLG, and ellsbury is showing a very similar batted ball profile to last year, with an abnormally low HR/FB (2.9%)… i would think his timing might be a little off after the long layoff…. all that said, you did get the keeper SS, and those are worth a fair bit more in this kind of set up, and its not like you’re taking a huge hit in the OF going from ells to upton (i wouldnt come out and say upton will outperform ellsbury next season…. im gonna be a huge ellsbury buyer next year considering this injury was of the freak variety)

The injury history of Ellsbury and Upton is the big question mark. But if they are both healthy in 2013 then Ellsbury will have a better year than Upton… or Andrus for that matter IMO.
