What's the best case scenario here?
And what’s the most likely scenario?

best
he is healthy all year and is the best fantasy 2bman……not sure that is likely though.
I would like to know more about the injury before I say what the most likely scenario is

Goodbye SBs
Apparently it hurts to make explosive baseball movements.
I fear this may turn into a nagging thing throughout the season with a DL stint.

Be sure to watch CHUCK Monday nights at 8pm on NBC!!! Crazy episode next week!

agreed
I could see him hitting the DL, possibly to start the season. The Phils are going to take it slow with him, but wonder if he will require surgery.

Surgery?
I have patellar tendinitis. It’s pretty common. Utley claims he’s had it before. Basically, he’ll take a few days off and then work with the trainers to stretch and build up the muscles in his thigh that cause the inflammation. It’s really not a big deal and surgery for tendinitis is very rare. Worst case scenario is it flares up at some point and he has to miss 5-6 games to rest it or, at worst, a DL stint.
Patellar tendinitis is really not a big deal.

good to know
I was surprised it was mentioned in the Zolecki article, but you never know. Its gotta affect his range at 2b and am curious if the Phils will think about a position change at some point? Back to 3b maybe? or LF?
