Trading Trout-Keeper League

Hey guys,

Just wanted your thoughts on this trade.

I'd be giving up: Mike Trout who would be a 6th round keeper

to recieve

Cano: Top 3 round Keeper

Strasburg: Top 3 round Keeper.

My heart says not to do it, I have Kipnis who I'm gonna keep as a 9th round pick but I do have room for Cano at Utility. Any thoughts? Also I'm currently in 4th out of a 12 team league, the team getting Trout is currently in first.

I'd be curious about your other keeper that Strasburg would replace

But I don’t think I do it - Trout is going to be a 1st rounder next year, and with Strasburg being shut down at some point (as they keep saying anyway), the at most month of value he’ll provide isn’t enough for me to make up the difference.

I will say I have Trout in a keeper league as a 25th rounder for next year, so I am probably EXTREMELY biased about it.

Trading Trout,

I don’t think I’d trade him unless I got a player who is a true first round pick and another top player. What you’re getting fits the bill. I’d want someone younger than Cano in a keeper league, but really it’s tough not to try to squeeze out more from the first place team without insulting him.
