Dynasty League Trade - Trade away Wil Myers?

I'm in a 12 team dynasty keeper league (we keep 20 MLB and 8 MiLB) with no limits or $ values.

I'm currently out of the playoffs by a wide-margin but looking to strengthen my OF for this year and going forward.

I received an offer where I trade W. Myers, G. Cole and D. Fowler for Ellsbury.

I know Ells was a top-10 hitter last year and could continue to be great but is this package too much?

I'm hesitant to accept because Myers' bat appears to be legit and he's my only prospect close to the majors. I think he'll be next year and be a good RF.

Would you do the trade or hold?

Any input appreciated.

Thanks

I think that's giving up too much.

Those are two top 10 prospects, plus a decent 4th or 5th OF, depending on the setup.

Ellsbury had a phenomenal year last year, but by all accounts Myers can come close to matching that output, so throwing in one of the best pitching prospects seems like too much.

Definitely too much

Ellsbury is a great player, but I don’t think he’ll ever repeat those numbers. Myers and Cole are both great prospects, and also have a “higher floor” then other prospects rated high/near them. Fowler is “meh”, but he’s good roster fodder and can help you out when he goes on one of his hot streaks.

Ellsbury is a great player (deja vu?), but that’s too much.

Nope,

I wouldn’t do it… Ellsbury is a solid player. He’s garnering the injury prone label. Boston also is probably going to start the rebuilding process in a year or two.

Myers gives you a young arbitrary nucleus in the Royals with very good power potential. Cole profiles as a 1 or 2, but pitching is too volatile to really rely on. I prefer Myers in the long run.
