Trade?
Quick trade advice:
I have at SS: A. Carbrera, Stephen Drew & Juan Uribe.
I have at CLOSER: Marmol, League, Uehara, Venters.
In my league, I can see I'm going to need help in Steals and Saves (familiar refrain). I picked up Bourn and dealt for Ichiro. Feel like I'll scavenge saves from League & Uehara. Have Venters for depth, WHIP & K.
I've been offered in a keeper league, Ryan Franklin for A. Cabrera. Would you do it? What factors would you consider in this trade?

Not sure if I would do that trade. Franklin has been pretty shaky and the only thing thus far that’s saved his job is the remaining pitchers in the bullpen have been shaky too. If you trade for Franklin I would make sure to have Jason Motte on the bench- maybe Mitchell Boggs too. One of these guys will eventually get some save opps if Franklin continues to struggle. My money would be on Motte. The Cards are playing well (for the time being) so I don’t think TL will tolerate Franklin blowing another save. Motte looks to have actually been pitching better recently. Maybe if you have the bench space available it would be ok to keep Cabrera and stash away Motte and ot Boggs for now?

agree
I would not deal for Franklin. Would try to trade for a different closer if possible.

If you “picked up” Bourn (as in, off waivers) and being that steals are a category, I would suspect there are not many teams in your league. If this is true then it would be better to wait for a closer as opposed to trading for Franklin. Of course every league is different and there may be none available now. But there is a lot of turn over in the closer role, so just keep an eye out for now.
