Welcome to the Ding Dong Challenge, a game were we try and correctly predict who will hit the most home runs in a given week, keep score throughout the entire season and win a free, awesome t-shirt. Here’s last week’s report card and this week’s list of “elites”. If you want to play, just pick one player from the “elites” and two players from the “everyone else” category (which is just everyone who’s not elite), then list your team in the comments. The sooner you create your team, the better as you only get the homers from when your team is posted till the end of the week.

Week 4 report card

It was not a great week for the elites as only Manny Machado and Bryce Harper produced any homers (though Machado did his fair share of work). On the flip side, boy did some of the everyone elses produce! Three homers from Stanton, Freeman and Bryant plus another two homers from Rizzo and Diaz. We’re finally going to have both the Bronx Bombers in the elite category for the first time this season. That’s gonna change up some people’s strategies...

Shoutout to The Real Slim Shaney who gets his first week win behind Machado and an expertly picked bench. Also shoutout to Heath for just starting this week and already making some noise putting up six points this week.

Also shoutout to Mark for going dinger-less across the board. LOVE YOU MARK!

This week’s perfect lineup could’ve been (drum roll please):

Elite: Machado (4)
Everyone Else 1: Francisco Lindor (4)
Everyone Else 2: Scooter Gennett (4)

Props to anyone who thought a dude named Scooter could rake like that.
