Friday Fun: What’s the best fantasy trade you’ve ever made?

Everyone’s made at least one amazing trade.

It’s Friday and while that means the weekend is just around the corner, it also means that most everyone’s afternoon is spent staring at the clock just waiting for work to get out. So, I decided to help distract you from the monotonous tick tick of the clock and from that mound of work on your desk. You’re welcome!

Here’s the question I was mulling over in my head while I was at work today that I figured I’d use to distract you all: What has been the best fantasy trade I’ve ever made?

Everyone who plays fantasy sports has at one point or another pulled off the greatest heist since Danny Ocean saw Tess flirting with Terry Benedict. Everyone has one trade that they are immensely proud of in which they traded peanuts for an elephant.

For instance, this past season in fantasy football I traded Amari Cooper for Ezekiel Elliott. Boom. Straight up. Now this was before the start of Week 2 so it was a risky maneuver on my part simply because we—and ‘we’ I mean the entire football cognizanty for which I am most obviously apart of—didn’t quite know Zeke would be as good as he was. But he was. And I rode his amazing rookie season all the way to a league championship. That is a trade that I am very, very proud of. I also use it to block out of my memory the time I traded Rob Gronkowski, Josh Gordon, Eddie Lacy AND Demaryius Thomas for Jordy Nelson, Marshawn Lynch and Mohamed Sanu back in 2014. Not my finest hour.

What was your greatest trade? Did you somehow swindle some unknowing charlatan out of Mike Trout for a firm handshake? Did you get 2007 Randy Moss on your team for a bag of nail clippings?

Leave your best trade in the comments or—if you want to tell us more and paint a verbal picture for us—write a FanPost and we’ll make sure to share it!

Hopefully this will be able to distract you for the final moments of the week.

Happy weekends!
