Neftali Feliz to start in 2011?
Nick Cafardo, Boston GlobeThe big spring decision will be whether to transition Rookie of the Year closer Neftali Feliz into the rotation. That would push Derek Holland back to the bullpen, and Frank Francisco and Alexi Ogando would compete for the closer role.
"As of right now, we’re going to bring [Feliz] into camp and give him an opportunity to stretch himself out,’’ said Washington. "And if he shows us he’s better fitted with our ball club to start, then we’ll go in that direction.
"If not, we know he can close ballgames and we’re very happy with that.’’

it worked w/ CJ Wilson. Why not give it a try w/ Feliz?

Francisco to Toronto
I think this signals that Feliz is likely going to going to stay in the pen. I think Feliz could be successful and more valuable in the rotation. I also think that Ogando could get it done as the closer while Scheppers could be a good long term option. However, I question how serious they are about looking at Feliz for the rotation when they trade Francisco and didn’t sign one of the available free agent arms (ex: Fuentes, Soriano, etc.) after losing out on CLee.
