It’s another week for safety blanket time, with some pretty actionable news. Darren Waller is a true game-time decision, while Dallas Goedert and Zach Ertz are finally freed from cannibalizing each other’s fantasy football value.

As usual, if you have a haggle to satiate, find me in the comments. I didn’t rank Bob Tonyan this week. He would have been 21st, though. But going that deep at this position is an exercise in futility. The notes were quick this week, but getting those rankings up!

TE Rankings for Week 7

Rank Player Name Team Opponent Notes
Rank Player Name Team Opponent Notes
Travis Kelce KC @ TEN He has no injury designation after the recent neck injury. As you were.
Mark Andrews BAL vs CIN He has three finishes inside the top FOUR over his last four weeks. Go nuts.
Dallas Goedert PHI @ LV Ertz is now in Arizona. LV are bottom 5 in targets, receptions, yards, and TDs allowed to enemy tight ends.
Mike Gesicki MIA vs ATL He's one of the top tight ends in the game right now. He has three top 10 finishes in his last 4 weeks.
Kyle Pitts ATL @ MIA He broke out in the London game in Week 5 without Calvin Ridley, but now Ridley is back.
TJ Hockenson DET @ LAR He's hurt (knee) but practiced in limited fashion to end the week. Still an elite play based on how awful this position is.
Zach Ertz ARI vs HOU He's now the lead tight end for Arizona after Maxx Williams' departure to IR. HOU has allowed 5 TDs to enemy tight ends, worst in the NFL.
Tyler Higbee LAR vs DET Who else are you starting? He's getting snaps and you want multiple pieces of Matthew Stafford's revenge game.
Darren Waller LV vs PHI You'll have to bench him in season-long formats due to him being a true GTD and in the late game. Stay tuned.
Ricky Seals-Jones WAS @ GB With target counts of 9 and 6 over his last two weeks, he's at least a low-end TE1 option.
Hunter Henry NE vs NYJ He's the best bet in NE to find paydirt via the air.
CJ Uzomah CIN @ BAL This is a plus matchup for a tight end. High-end streamer at worst this week.
Evan Engram NYG vs CAR He's expected to suit up this week, but he's been a total no-show despite the NYG skill player position being ravaged by injuries. Hard pass.
Cole Kmet CHI @ TB He's getting snaps over Jimmy Graham...surely it's only a matter of time?
Mo Alie-Cox IND @ SF He ran a lowly NINE pass routes last week. Yikes.
OJ Howard TB vs CHI He was super involved last week and you have to ride that out if you need a TE2.
Gerald Everett SEA vs NO He caught a 41-yard pass last week from Geno Smith. This is what you can hang your hat on this far down in the rankings.
David Njoku CLE vs DEN He's been a deep play threat for CLE on occasion.
Jonnu Smith NE vs NYJ I'm stashing him still, but you can't play him.
Ross Dwelley SF vs IND You're chasing a score.
