2019 Fantasy Football Rankings: Wide receivers for Week 4

Week 3 saw a dormant giant go nuclear in the form of Mike Evans, who finally got in-sync with Jameis Winston and pasted Janoris Jenkins and the Giants to the tune of eight receptions, 190 yards and three touchdowns. Is it possible that a sleeping giant will be awakened in Week 4? I have a sneaking suspicion that Davante Adams could be that guy.

I have been very vocal about Adams’ lack of involvement within Matt LaFleur’s conservative offense in Green Bay, and his four targets last week were very concerning, especially when Marquez Valdes-Scantling got 10 of them. But a matchup against the Eagles’ secondary on Thursday night at Lambeau could be what pushes Adams over the line. Adams has had three super-tough matchups against the Bears, Vikings and Broncos, all of which have several great corner backs.

Adams will now match up against an Eagles defense that plays lights-out run defense and is a sieve on the backend. They have allowed 100-yard games to rookie Terry McLaurin, Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley and Marvin Jones Jr. That secondary will also be without its “top” cornerback, Ronald Darby. It’s time for Adams to join the list.
