I am a big fan of Angels SS Brandon Wood and share the obvious concern of anyone with the numerancy to read his strikeout numbers. The conventional wisdom has been that he is too big to stay at SS and that his bat will play well at 3B. (Frankly, it is good enough to play at 1B1)
Reading through Tim Kurkjian's ESPN the Magazine column, I caught this blurb:
And they probably won't trade minor league shortstop Brandon Wood, who has great power and is very good defensively.
If this is an indication of a change in the CW, then Wood is going to take his prospect status to levels seen only be Delmon Young in recent years.
