Trevor Story has signed with the Boston Red Sox:
Trevor Story has reached an agreement with the Boston #Redsox

Story, 29, is an annual 20/20 threat and appears slated to take over the second base role for Boston. This would give him 2B/SS eligibility (eventually) and solidifies his top 5 draft position among shortstops. Given the recent injury to Fernando Tatis Jr., you can argue that Story is fourth among his peers, trailing only Trea Turner, Bo Bichette, and Tim Anderson. And there’s probably room for debate against Anderson, who hasn’t proven as sturdy as Story and who won’t carry 2B/SS eligibility. I can justify Story as early as Round 2 given that he’ll now call the AL East home and enjoy plenty of hitter-friendly parks.
What say you all? This reads as an ideal landing spot to me, given the parks Story will play in and the protection that the Boston lineup will afford.
