Frank Thomas

ESPN is reporting the Blue Jays have signed away HR-hitting, bases-on-balls taking DH Frank Thomas from the Oakland A's for a two-year $23MM contract.

I guess it isn't only 38+ year-old starting pitchers who can get 10-figure annual salaries, is it?

I don't think Thomas has any less value as a Blue Jay than he would have had as an A because his injury issue with not dissipate.  If anything, the turf in Toronto could prove more of a concern.

However, 39 HRs can't be ignored by fantasy teams.

Whether it should have been ignored by the drunken sailors north of the border is a different issue.
