Gavin Lux optioned by the Los Angeles Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers have optioned second baseman Gavin Lux.

This is a bit of a surprise given Lux’s pedigree as a prospect and the expectation that he was going to hold down LA’s second base this year. It seems that won’t be the case now with the gig likely going to Chris Taylor (though Kike Hernandez has also spent time playing second base). Needless to say, this is a blow to any Lux stock you’d bought this year.
