Leake was positioned to be fighting for a spot at the back end of the Diamondbacks' rotation. @SteveGilbertMLB first said Leake was opting out.
Fantasy Impact
Leake was battling to be in the backend of the Diamondbacks’ rotation so his missing of the 2020 season means Merrill Kelly and Luke Weaver will likely be locking down the back of the rotation. While not the biggest name, Leake being the first could mean we’re about to see more players opting out of the 2020 season.
