Lamar Jackson (quad) got in a full practice on Wednesday, solidifying his spot as the overall QB1 against the Jets’ depleted defense. On track to play, Jameis Winston and his fractured thumb bounce Patrick Mahomes out of the Top 3, in a great matchup against Detroit. Ryan Tannehill makes his way to the Top 5 in a blow-up spot against the Texans’ secondary. Youngsters, Gardner Minshew Jr. and Drew Lock, vault to the forefront of the QB2 ranks with dates against the workable Oakland and Kansas City defenses, respectively. Eli Manning is suddenly on the streaming radar as he and his solid receiving corps play host to the Miami Dolphins.
Week 15 Quarterback Rankings
Rank | Quarterback | Team | Opponent | High Floor/High Ceiling QB1s |
---|---|---|---|---|
Rank | Quarterback | Team | Opponent | High Floor/High Ceiling QB1s |
| Lamar Jackson | BAL | NYJ | His quad injury is worrying and we'll need to monitor is closely. However, if he's active, he's got a ceiling like no other. |
| Deshaun Watson | HOU | at TEN | Mid-tier matchup for one of the best QBs in the game. |
| Jameis Winston | TB | at DET | The thumb hairline fracture is noteworthy but as long as practice reports don't indicate that the swelling is impeding his grip, he's a surefire top-tier option. |
| Patrick Mahomes | KC | DEN | This is a bet on talent. |
| Ryan Tannehill | TEN | HOU | Expect Tannehill to throw downfield early and often on this weak sauce Texans' pass defense that just got worked by rookie QB Drew Lock. |
| Drew Brees | NO | IND | Mid-tier matchup for one of the NFL's best offenses. |
| Carson Wentz | PHI | at WAS | His receiving corps is depleted, but he's playing well and it's a great matchup. |
| Dak Prescott | DAL | LAR | It'll be a tough outing for Amari Cooper with Jalen Ramsey's expected shadow coverage but Dallas has enough weapons outside of Cooper to keep the passsing game humming. |
| Russell Wilson | SEA | at CAR | Carolina's pass defense has been leaky as of late. The loss of RB Rashaad Penny (ACL) will force Pete Carroll to let Wilson throw a tad more. |
| Kirk Cousins | MIN | at LAC | Tough matchup but he's playing well and Adam Thielen is expected to return. |
| Jimmy Garoppolo | SF | at ATL | Jimmy G played himself into this spot last week in a much tougher matchup. ATL should help him to a solid Week 15 finish. |
| Josh Allen | BUF | at PIT | Brutal matchup but he's got the playmaking upside to barely retain a QB1 outlook. |
High Floor/Capped Ceiling QB2s | ||||
| Gardner Minshew Jr. | JAX | at OAK | Excellent matchup on tap here. |
| Drew Lock | DEN | at KC | The kid can play and this is a great matchup. It's risky, given his lack of experience, but the formula for success is evident. |
| Kyler Murray | ARI | CLE | Murray's been a disappointment as of late. He should get back on track in this one though. |
| Mitchell Trubisky | CHI | at GB | The training wheels have been removed and the Bears' coaching staff has given Trubisky the green light to start rushing again. As terrifying as it is to start him, his rushing floor makes him worthwhile. |
| David Blough | DET | TB | The matchup is too good to ignore. Tampa Bay's secondary was seemingly built as a gift to opposing quarterbacks. |
| Ryan Fitzpatrick | MIA | at NYG | This ranking would be much safer if DeVante Parker (concussion) gets cleared to play. It's a great matchup for the fearless gunslinger. |
| Kyle Allen | CAR | SEA | This is a great spot for Allen to produce. Seattle will score and Allen will have to keep throwing. |
| Eli Manning | NYG | MIA | Good gravy. Buoyed by the outstanding matchup and the playmakers surrounding him, Manning is firmly on the streaming radar. |
| Aaron Rodgers | GB | CHI | This is a challenging matchup. |
| Tom Brady | NE | at CIN | Soft-as-heck matchup on tap here. Plus, they've got the coveted footage of the Bengals ingenious coaching staff now. |
| Baker Mayfield | CLE | at ARI | Mayfield has to succeed in this one. Arizona is extremely generous to opposing passers. |
| Jacoby Brissett | IND | at NO | Very challening matchup. He will be forced to throw though so he could work his way up. |
Low Floor/Low Ceiling QB3s | ||||
| Matt Ryan | ATL | SF | Very tough matchup. The playmakers at his disposal make it possible for him to hit mid-tier QB2 numbers though. |
| Philip Rivers | LAC | MIN | Minnesota's pass defense is overrated but this offense can't get out of its own way. |
| Jared Goff | LAR | at DAL | Goff's been brutal. He could post decent numbers, given that they'll be playing in a dome. He's too risky to trust though. |
| Derek Carr | OAK | JAX | Great matchup but the offense is struggling. |
| Sam Darnold | NYJ | at BAL | The combination of Baltimore's secondary and Adam Gase's ego make it nearly impossible for Darnold to succeed in Week 15. |
| Andy Dalton | CIN | NE | New England's secondary should nab more than one pick here. |
| Devlin Hodges | PIT | BUF | Brutal spot for "Duck" on deck. Look elsewhere for streaming consideration. |
| Dwayne Haskins Jr. | WAS | PHI | Philly's secondary is awful but their front-seven should harass Haskins all day. |
