MVP candidates Lamar Jackson (at LAR) and Russell Wilson (at PHI) take the top two spots while MVP Candidate No. 3, Dak Prescott (at NE), gets bumped down a bit to the QB6 spot with a tough matchup. They’re all locked into lineups though. With Kyler Murray, Patrick Mahomes, Philip Rivers, and Kirk Cousins on bye, a healthy group of streaming quarterback with good matchups make up the QB11-16 ranks. Derek Carr (at NYJ) and Baker Mayfield (MIA) close out the QB1 zone but are really mostly equal footing with Jacoby Brissett (at HOU), Ryan Tannehill (JAX), Sam Darnold (OAK), and Jeff Driskel (at WAS). Fear not, if you’re afflicted with a bye week quarterback — backup plans abound.
Teams on bye: Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, and the Minnesota Vikings
Week 12 Running Back Rankings
Rank | Quarterback | Team | Opponent | High Floor/High Ceiling QB1s |
---|---|---|---|---|
Rank | Quarterback | Team | Opponent | High Floor/High Ceiling QB1s |
1 | Lamar Jackson | BAL | at LAR | The Rams play good pass defense but Lamar Jackson is unlike any quarterback in the game. |
2 | Russell Wilson | SEA | at PHI | Philly's leaky secondary stands no chance. |
3 | Deshaun Watson | HOU | IND | Watson should be able to bounce back. Expect him to be hungry after playing the worst game of his career. |
4 | Matt Ryan | ATL | TB | The Bucs pass defense is a Fountain of Youth. |
5 | Jameis Winston | TB | at ATL | Atlanta's defense has rapidly improved since HC Dan Quinn gave up defensive play calling duties two weeks ago. This will be a stiff test but Winston's got the supporting cast to remain a dominant QB1. |
6 | Dak Prescott | DAL | at NE | New England's defense will likely steal a turnover or two but Prescott's playing at an All-Pro level. |
7 | Drew Brees | NO | CAR | Carolina's pass defense is outstanding but the Saints offense is firing on all cylinders. |
8 | Tom Brady | NE | DAL | Tough matchup for him but the New England offense will be working hard to get back on track in practice this week. |
9 | Aaron Rodgers | GB | at SF | SF's still trying to get healthy from the recent slog of slobberknockers. |
10 | Josh Allen | BUF | DEN | Just when Denver's defense was coming into it's own, Kirk Cousins burned it to the ground in Week 11. Josh Allen and his quirky ways should fuel the flames. |
11 | Derek Carr | OAK | at NYJ | Carr's been an excellent fantasy option as of late. The Jets secondary poses no threat to his production. |
12 | Baker Mayfield | CLE | MIA | Although the team is still in dissaray, Mayfield's box scores have been ascending an a date with Miami should allow that to continue. |
High Floor/High Ceiling QB2s | ||||
13 | Jacoby Brissett | IND | at HOU | There's a strong case to be made for Brissett to be ranked as high as the QB11. Consider him in a tier-irrelevant grouping with Carr and Mayfield. |
14 | Ryan Tannehill | TEN | JAX | Tannehill has been a quality fantasy option since he took over as the starter in Week 7. That remains the case this week in a mid-tier matchup against the Jags. |
15 | Sam Darnold | NYJ | OAK | This looks like a low key shootout. Mid-tier QBs against bad secondaries. |
16 | Jeff Driskel | DET | at WAS | Incredibly, Driskel's on the streaming radar after strong box score results against Dallas. This is a great matchup for him. |
High Floor/Capped Ceiling QB2s | ||||
17 | Jimmy Garoppolo | SF | GB | Garoppolo resumes his mid-tier QB2 ways against a non-Arizona team. |
18 | Carson Wentz | PHI | SEA | It's a good matchup but Wentz has been the epitome of "capped ceiling" this year. |
19 | Ryan Fitzpatrick | MIA | at CLE | Cleveland's pass defense has been generous to opposing passers. |
20 | Nick Foles | JAX | at TEN | Foles had some rust on display in his return to action last week. It's a moderately difficult matchup but he has the supporting cast around him to be relevant as a QB2 streamer. |
21 | Mason Rudolph | PIT | at CIN | The receiving corps is decimated but it's a stellar matchup. Expect most of the production to come via passes to running backs. |
22 | Daniel Jones | NYG | CHI | Khalil Mack will likely coax out Jones' scrambling floor. A ceiling game will be hard to get though. |
23 | Jared Goff | LAR | BAL | Todd Gurley II's increased usage could help Goff on dumpoffs. It's a bad matchup though. |
24 | Kyle Allen | CAR | at NO | Even without Marshon Lattimore, this is a tough spot for Kyle Allen. |
Low Floor/Low Ceiling QB3s | ||||
25 | Brandon Allen | DEN | at BUF | Brutal matchup but a solid supporting cast -- especially with the ascension of TE Noah Fant. |
26 | Chicago QB | CHI | NYG | It's a decent matchup for whoever plays but this offense is completely disfunctional. |
27 | Dwayne Haskins | WAS | DET | With Terry McLaurin expected to face shadow coverage by Darius Slay, Haskins won't have anyone to throw to. |
28 | Ryan Finley | CIN | PIT | Cincy's tanking and this is a brutal matchup. |
