Welcome to the Ding Dong Challenge, a game were we try and correctly predict who will hit the most home runs in a given week, keep score throughout the entire season and win a free, awesome t-shirt. Here’s last week’s report card and this week’s list of “elites”. If you want to play, just pick one player from the “elites” and two players from the “everyone else” category (which is just everyone who’s not elite), then list your team in the comments. The sooner you create your team, the better as you only get the homers from when your team is posted till the end of the week.

Week 7 report card

Name Week 7 Total Elite Everyone Else 1 Everyone Else 2 Total Ding Dongs
Name Week 7 Total Elite Everyone Else 1 Everyone Else 2 Total Ding Dongs
Pete Rogers 4 J.D. Martinez (2) Charlie Blackmon (0) Scooter Gennett (2) 28
Mark Abell 4 Jose Ramirez (3) Charlie Blackmon (0) Giancarlo Stanton (1) 23
Sixtus74 4 Aaron Judge (2) Giancarlo Stanton (1) Juan Soto (1) 23
Feslenraster 4 Mike Trout (1) Jesus Aguilar (1) Brandon Nimmo (2) 11
Salti Cracker 2 Mike Trout (1) Freddie Freeman (0) Giancarlo Stanton (1) 25
The Real Slim Shaney 0 -- -- -- 24
Heath Capps 0 -- -- -- 11

It was only a matter of time before we had ourselves a tie and here we are! Four 4 point performances this week and the impressive thing is that most of the teams are very different. Mark could’ve won off the bat of Jose Ramirez had he just paired him with someone better than Charlie Blackmon. I guess I could’ve won off of the bats of J.D. Martinez and ol’ Scoots had Blackmon gotten me anything. Charlie Blackmon, you let the whole team dowwwwn. Though not as much as Mike Trout. One homer from Trout, while still scoring, is a let down. Do better Mike.

Heath and Slim Shaney just forgot to set their lineups this week so no points for them. Mark and Sixtus are in a heated battle in total points while Salti Cracker used Shaney’s week off to jump ahead. And Feslenraster is now in double digits! WOOT WOOT!

Here was the best lineup from last week:

Elite: Jose Ramirez (3)
Everyone Else 1: Edwin Encarnacion (5)
Everyone Else 2: Eddie Rosario (4)

I had even thought about Encarnacion last week... DAMN!
