  • David Price was so-so in his 2017 debut. He pitched 5 innings allowing 2 hits and 3 runs. He walked 2 and struck out 4 in the no decision. Most importantly, Price commented after the game he felt great and healthy during all 5 innings. He’ll look to improve on this start later this week.
  • The Astros put up 11 runs in the 8th inning to take down the Twins 16-8. Ervin Santana had to settle for a no decision despite going 7 innings with just 1 earned run with 6 Ks. His ERA is now at 1.75 for the season. Carlos Correa was 3 for 5 with a HR 3 R and 3 RBI. He is now hitting .311 with 8 HR and 30 RBI.
  • Tanner Roark was great in a shutout win over the Giants. The Nationals starter went 7 scoreless innings with 6 Ks. He has strung together 2 solid starts in a row. Ryan Zimmerman was 3 for 4 with a HR and 2 runs scored. Koda Glover nailed down his 6th save of the year with an inning of work and 2 strikeouts. Glover seems to have locked up the Nationals closer role for the time being.
  • Jose Ramirez was 3 for 3 with 2 steals in an Indians 5-3 win over the Athletics. Ramirez now has 5 SB to go with 7 HR and a .287 AVG on the year. Carlos Carrasco went 7 innings of 2 run ball with 7 Ks in the win. Andrew Miller struck out the side in the 8th. Miller has a 0.35 ERA this season. Cody Allen gave up 3 hits and a run but struck out 2 in route to his 14th save of the year.
  • Michael Conforto was 1 for 4 with an RBI double in a Mets 4-2 win over the Brewers. Conforto now has 33 RBI with a .320 AVG and .412 OBP for the year. Addison Reed struck out 2 and pitched around 2 hits to get the save. Domingo Santana was 2 for 4 with a solo shot. This is his 2nd HR in as many days.
