Fantasy Football Week 1: 10 Facts to Know

Did you know that in the 1830s, ketchup was sold as medicine? Seriously! John Cook, a physician, sold it as a cure for indigestion. Well, fantasy football has similar anomalies each week.

Here are 10 fun facts from the first week of NFL action:

1.) Chandler Jones had 5 sacks against Tennessee! 6.5 sacks is the NFL record.

2.) Per Field Yates at ESPN: Najee Harris played every snap in Week 1: 58 out of 58 snaps.

3.) Trevor Lawrence had the 4th most yards ever for a rookie QB making his first start

4.) Melvin Gordon averaged 9.2 yards, the most for any player with at least 10 attempts.

5.) Amari Cooper and Tyreek Hill were the only two WRs with over 10 receptions.

6.) Baker Mayfield had three 40+ yard completions and 0 TDs.

7.) Matt Prater and Austin Seibert had the worst FG% (50% each).

8.) Joe Mixon, Mark Ingram, and Damien Harris led the rushing attempts at 29, 26, and 23.

9.) Russell Wilson led completion percentage for anyone with at least 10 attempts, at 78% (he was followed by Teddy Bridgewater).

10.) TJ Hockenson and Rob Gronkowski led all TEs in receptions and receiving yards.
