2020 Fantasy Baseball Rankings: Heath’s top 15 at every position

It was either this or Tiger King, so here we are. I’ll take fantasy baseball any day of the week over that drivel. And before I get asked, I was really torn over a few names that I left off. Ranking 15 isn’t that deep, after all.

Sean Murphy, Tom Murphy, and Travis d’Arnaud were all in consideration for my last three catcher spots. I like the lucky first 13 I have at catcher...after that it’s picking what you’re chasing after.

At first, Danny Santana and Yuli Gurriel are my obvious omissions. I am down on those two. And I have Encarnacion and Luke Voit neck-and-neck—so hopefully our own Joe Gentile doesn’t maim me for omitting Voit. I have him 16th, Joe!

At the keystone, Gavin Lux is my 16th man. Recent rumors that he may not start the season in the bigs seem insane to me. There’s also the potentially batting 8th piece, as well as the fact that L.A. has about a billion second base options. Still, Lux is a tantalizing blend of power (with a little speed) in a stout lineup. And second isn’t the strongest of spots. Can’t drop him too far.

At the hot corner, Eugenio Suarez is slowly back in the circle of trust given a delayed start to the year, and I’ve got Miguel Sano one spot behind.

MAN, shortstop is loaded. Carlos Correa isn’t in my top 15, but he is 16th.

And in the outfield, Eloy Jimenez and Ramon Laureano were in consideration for the last spot, but I’m actually a fan of a healthy Kris Bryant being one of the central cogs in that Cubs offense.

That’s it for what is likely my last pass, unless we fall into more information prior to the season beginning. Maybe service time will be an issue, or a guy like Lux actually getting sent down would change things.
