DFS lineup advice and picks for NFL Week 16 Sunday Slate

My top NFL DFS lineup and picks for Week 16 Sunday’s main slate.

AP

My Week 15 lineup promised so much early on Sunday but ultimately failed to deliver for me last week. Early touchdowns for Derrick Henry, Jonathan Taylor, Russell Gage and Michael Gallup got my hopes up before being let down by my stacks from the Vikings of Justin Jefferson, Irv Smith and the Vikings defense, and the Colts with a stack of Philip Rivers and T.Y. Hilton.

Onto Week 16 and this week I’m giving you a pair of slightly different lineups that I’ve been toying between and have ultimately entered for this Sunday’s Draft Kings main slate.

Week 16 DFS Lineup 1

Position Player Opponent Price
Position Player Opponent Price
QB Deshaun Watson vs Bengals $7600
RB David Montgomery @ Jaguars $7700
RB Miles Sanders @ Cowboys $7000
WR Robert Woods @ Seahawks $7000
WR Brandin Cooks vs Bengals $6200
WR A.J. Green @ Texans $3400
TE Donald Parham vs Broncos $2500
FLEX L'Veon Bell vs Falcons $5800
D/ST Panthers @ Football Team $2700

I’m taking a slightly different tack this week, not taking any player priced at the top of their position, but instead looking for more of a spread value lineup.

Deshaun Watson continues to be super consistent in fantasy and faces a Bengals team that despite their impressive win over the Steelers last week, has little to play for as their draft position is pretty much set, and I’ve paired with him his number one target in Brandin Cooks.

At running back I’ve got the hottest back in football David Montgomery who faces the woeful Jaguars defense, alongside Miles Sanders, who looks to be back to his best and faces a bang average Cowboys run defense.

At receiver alongside Cooks, I’ve gone for high upside, starting with Robert Woods who against the Seahawks secondary should continue to eat this week, and A.J. Green, who should see additional targets against a bottom three pass defense in the Texans with Tyler Boyd out this week.

My tight end Donald Parham is my value play of the week, but should see a good uptick in targets with Hunter Henry missing on the COVID-19 list.

In the flex spot I’m back Le’Veon Bell to step up with Clyde Edwards-Helaire out for the remainder of the regular season, though he is one I’ve flexed out in my second lineup as he carries a lot of risk.

Finally and for some extra value I’ve got the Panthers defense vs Washington in the hope they capture their pre-bye form against one of the league’s bottom 10 offenses.

Week 16 DFS Lineup 2

Position Player Opp Price
Position Player Opp Price
QB Deshaun Watson vs Bengals $7600
RB David Montgomery @ Jaguars $7700
RB Nick Chubb @ Jets $7800
WR Robert Woods @ Seahawks $7000
WR Brandin Cooks vs Bengals $6200
WR Jamison Crowder vs Browns $4500
TE Donald Parham vs Broncos $2500
FLEX Evan Engram @ Ravens $3900
D/ST Panthers @ Football Team $2700

Two changes from lineup 1, where I’ve gone stronger at RB and brought in Nick Chubb for Miles Sanders, and dropped Le’Veon Bell in the flex for the target machine Evan Engram. Swapping out Bell for Engram also means I can upgrade A.J. Green for another target hog in Jamison Crowder. I’m happy with both lineups, but probably feel more comfortable knowing I have two of the most in-form backs in the league in my second lineup.
