Onto the mailbag:
Q: My team (full PPR league) currently looks like: RB: Joe Mixon and Tarik Cohen, WR: DeAndre Hopkins, Adam Thielen, Robert Woods, Allen Robinson. Should I try to sell high on Robinson to get a better RB2, or stand pat and ensure I have 3 high-ends WRs in spite of bye weeks?
— @a_a_ron_att
I would try and sell high on Robinson if that’s who you think you can get the best return for. Personally, I’m really, really high on Robinson this year and I think what we saw last night is going to quickly become the norm for him. Were I you, I’d try and move Robert Woods for a RB and keep Robinson on my team. I wonder if you might be able to get a better return for Woods—people might be more willing to invest in Sean McVay and Jared Goff than Mitchell Trubisky—and I’m thinking Robinson is about to see 130+ targets since he seems to be the only guy Trubisky even mildly trusts.
Moral of the story: yea, you could use some running back help.
Q: I’m seriously considering dropping either M Jones Jr or G Tate for Tyrell Williams in my 0.5 PPR work league. My other WRs are M Evans, K Allen, R Woods, and T Boyd in a 3 WR plus FLEX league.
— @AndeTheEngineer
Tyrell Williams has certainly been a popular topic of conversation given the utter insanity that has been going on with Antonio Brown. If we assume Brown is done in Oakland (a fair assumption in my opinion) then Williams will become the number one guy in Oakland.
So who do you drop for him?
It may sound crazy, but I’m holding onto Golden Tate with all my heart. The Giants suck, yes, but Tate is going to be a target hog in New York when he comes back from suspension and is going to go crazy in PPR leagues. If you’re sold on Williams and the Raiders offense, then you can comfortably drop Marvin Jones Jr for him. I think Williams’ has a slightly higher floor and they both have similar ceilings in my book. So yea, you’re basically getting 1.2 Marvin Jones.
Q: Damien Williams or Austin Ekeler for week 1 start?
— Nathan C.
Easy, Austin Ekeler. Next.
Q: Currently I have A Jones as my rb2 along with Lindsay in my flex. Would u bench Jones..put Lindsay into my rb2 and slide Tyrell Williams into my flex?
— Rob T.
Obviously Aaron Jones already played so if you did start him as your RB2, then there’s not much you can do about it. Whatever the situation you find yourself in right now, you should defiantly start Phillip Lindsay. I can’t say I have a whole lot of confidence in the 2019 Raiders. Call me crazy. If you have that flex spot open, Williams isn’t a bad play. If not, then that’s fine too. I would have started Jones with ya so my advice wouldn’t have helped.
Q: Top 5 favorite Ben and Jerry’s flavors
— Will G.
5. Bourbon Pecan Pie — I love Thanksgiving and I love ice cream. It’s a perfect pairing.
4. Urban Bourbon — I clearly love my bourbon.
3. Half Baked — It has everything you want in ice cream, all at once.
2. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough — I know this is basically Half Baked but sometimes the classic is better.
1. Cherry Garcia — Fun story, this was the ice cream my mom couldn’t have enough of when she was pregnant with me. It’s the best flavor by freaking far.
Q: How much did you chuckle, knowing that one more good player would drop to you, when you saw Aaron Rodgers go in the 5 and 6th rounds of your drafts?
— @crosbyspencer1
