2019 Fantasy Football Rankings: Quarterbacks for Week 16

Excellent matchups on tap for our top ranked passers.

NFL: Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

Lamar Jackson (at CLE), Deshaun Watson (at TB), and Jameis Winston (HOU) all have outstanding matchups. Fire them up so they can lead you to victory. Ryan Tannehill retains a Top 10 ranking, despite the tough matchup vs. New Orleans’ secondary. Ryan Fitzpatrick’s date with Cincy makes him the top streaming option for Week 16. It’s probably best to sit Josh Allen this week. New England’s defense is just too strong.

Week 16 Quarterback Rankings

Rank Quarterback Team Opponent High Floor/High Ceiling QB1s
Rank Quarterback Team Opponent High Floor/High Ceiling QB1s
1 Lamar Jackson BAL at CLE Cleveland's defense has been especially vulnerable to rushing quarterbacks.
2 Deshaun Watson HOU at TB The Bucs' secondary is almost impossibly bad. This is an incredible matchup for the fantasy championship.
3 Jameis Winston TB HOU Surefire shootout on tap here. Houston's secondary isn't anything to write home about either.
4 Patrick Mahomes KC at CHI It's possible we won't see a true ceiling game out of Mahomes, given the matchup. His floor is better than most ceilings though.
5 Dak Prescott DAL at PHI Dak Prescott is nursing an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder. Per Dr. David Chao, if that's the only real issue (as indicated by his MRI), the dark horse for causing problems is swelling. As long as he is able to throw on Saturday, he'll be good to go. Stay tuned.
6 Drew Brees NO at TEN Tennessee's defense really can't hang with the Saints' offense. It's possible slot CB Logan Ryan makes Michael Thomas work a little harder than normal when he lines up inside. Thomas will still be in contention to finish Week 16 as the overall WR1 though.
7 Russell Wilson SEA ARI Expect RW to target Jacob Hollister all day long. The Cards' defense is at a total loss when trying to cover tight ends.
8 Ryan Tannehill TEN NO Tough matchup but the Titans' offense has been matchup-proof as of late.
9 Kyler Murray ARI at SEA Seattle has a tough time generating pressure... and a tough time playing defense in general, outside of their linebacking corps.
10 Matt Ryan ATL JAX Jacksonville's flailing team is a great way to end Atlanta's ho-hum season.
11 Kirk Cousins MIN GB GB's defense is fairly overrated. Great spot for Cousins and Co. to do some damage.
12 Carson Wentz PHI DAL Dallas' secondary has been pummeled by opposing passing games as of late. Should be a shootout here.
High Floor/High Ceiling QB2s
13 Ryan Fitzpatrick MIA CIN Fitz and Co. should trounce the hapless Bengals' defense.
14 Aaron Rodgers GB at MIN Minnesota's defense is only nominally strong and GB will have to throw to keep up with their offense.
15 Gardner Minshew Jr. JAX at ATL Good QB duel on tap here.
16 Daniel Jones NYG WAS Nice matchup to return from injury to.
16 Mitchell Trubisky CHI KC Surefire shootout against KC here.
17 High Floor/Capped Ceiling QB2s
18 Josh Allen BUF at NE Very tough matchup but he has the tools to make plays.
19 Philip Rivers LAC OAK Great matchup for the washed arm of Rivers.
20 Andy Dalton CIN at MIA Dalton's got a low floor, given the state of the Bengals' offense. However, this is a great matchup for him to succeed in.
21 Jacoby Brissett IND CAR Carolina's defense has been on the downturn as of late. Their run defense is terrible, which could boost Brissett's scrambling ability.
22 Dwayne Haskins Jr. WAS at NYG Pieces in the WAS offense are emerging. This is a great matchup for Haskins.
23 Jimmy Garoppolo SF LAR The Rams' defense will give Jimmy G a run for his money here. Best to look elsewhere.
24 Jared Goff LAR at SF Very tough matchup but he's got the supporting cast to remain relevant in 2-QB Leagues.
Low Floor/Low Ceiling QB3s
25 Drew Lock DEN DET Great matchup but it's tough to trust the rookie in the 'ship.
26 Derek Carr OAK at LAC Tough matchup for Carr here.
27 Baker Mayfield CLE BAL Very tough matchup here.
28 Tom Brady NE BUF Buffalo's weakest up front. It's possible Brady gets things going via passes to James White. He's not a recommended start though.
29 Devlin Hodges PIT NYJ Soft matchup for the typicaly unproductive rookie.
30 Sam Darnold NYJ at PIT Pittsburgh's defense is very strong. It'll be tough for Darnold to turn in a usable box score in this one.
31 David Blough DET at DEN Denver's defens is likely to shutdown most of Detroit's ability to produce.
32 Will Grier CAR at IND Don't count on the rookie in his first start.
