Week 10 bold predictions: Marquise Brown is primed for a big week

5 bold predictions for Week 10 football.

Prediction 1: Marquise Brown is a top 15 WR this week against the Bengals

Justification: He has been held to less than 50 yards since week 2 but he will shine against the Bengals now that he’s a bigger part of the offense and the Bengals secondary gets exploited. Last week would have been large had they not removed him part way through the game.

Prediction 2: The New York Jets are a top 5 D/ST this week

Justification: Facing the Giants, the Jets have actually been playing well lately, they had 4 sacks against the Dolphins last week, two weeks ago they got a fumble recovery against Jacksonville to go with 2 sacks and even against the Patriots they got an interception. When you look at their track record against lackluster offenses (Miami, Buffalo and Cleveland) they put up serious points.

Prediction 3: Mitchell Trubisky throws for over 300 yards for the first time this season

Justification: I get it, the Bears are bad on offense but so are the Lions secondary. They have now allowed every quarter back except Carson Wentz to throw for at least 285 yards including Kyler Murray, Philip Rivers, Kirk Cousins, Daniel Jones and Derek Carr.

Prediction 4: Buffalo at Cleveland over under is 40.5, give me under at 34.5

Justification: Cleveland has scored over 20 in one of their last four games. Buffalo has scored over 25 points in one of their last four. Cleveland’s offense looks inept and against Buffalo won’t go far, meanwhile their defense should amp it up against Buffalo this week.

Prediction 5: For just the 2nd time in the last seven weeks Chris Carson does not get 100 yards or a touchdown

Justification: San Francisco’s rush defense is very strong. They have let two players get 100 yards or a rushing touchdown this season. Baltimore was the only other team to stop Chris Carson lately.

Recapping Week 9

Prediction 1: Nick Folk, most recently of the AAF, will be a top 3 kicker this week

Recap: He was 12th best kicker, far from top 3 but not the worst for a 15% owned player (Grade: C)

Prediction 2: Lamar Jackson is projected as a top six QB this week, he will not finish in the top 20

Recap: This went about as much in the opposite directions as what I thought as possible. If you sat him (as I did) I sincerely apologize. (Grade: D)

Prediction 3: Ricky Seals-Jones is a top 7 TE this week (projected 24th)

Recap: Getting hurt half way through the game really hurt this projection. (Grade: D)

Prediction 4: Washington Redskins vs. Buffalo Bills over/under is 37. Give me the under at 31.5

Recap: My lone decent prognostication of the week, final of 33 which was slightly above the 31.5 and well below the 37. (Grade: B)

Prediction 5: Mark Walton (47% owned) is a top 10 RB this week

Results: 29 rushing yards and 12 receiving yards and to top it off, he’s now suspended. The worst part is the Dolphins won, so the notion was right, execution was all off (Grade: D)

2019 YTD Grades:

Grade A: 13
Grade B: 6
Grade C: 5
Grade D: 15
