Texas Motor Speedway. Located in Fort Worth, Texas, this 1.5 mile quad-oval asphalt track was built and opened in 1996. It features this race as well as one regular season race and has different banked turns on 1 and 2 (20 degrees) vs. 3 and 4 (24 degrees). Jimmie Johnson holds the most wins here (6).

Power Rankings
The Favorites
Joey Logano (seventh selection this year) — 3rd place, 3rd place, 6th place, that’s the last three years at Texas Motor Speedway. He had his 2nd top ten finish in the playoffs last week which isn’t good but at the same time he has one finish outside the top 20 so he’s being consistent and solid.
Kyle Busch (ninth selection this year) — He’s won here twice in the last three years. The other odd part is the playoffs so far where he’s finishing outside the top ten, then inside the top ten every other race. Given this trend he will be a top ten finisher this week.
High Risk/High Reward
Chase Elliott (seventh selection this year) — He has finished in the bottom five in two of the last four races. Not good. He has also averaged a 8th place finish here the last three years.
Jimmie Johnson (sixth selection this year) — He had a rough go last year with a 35th finish place, beyond that he has top five finishes here the other two years.
The Dark Horse
Erik Jones (sixth selection this year) — Erik has finished outside the top 30 in four of the seven playoff races. That said he finished 4th at Texas earlier this year and I think he’s due for a solid top 15 finish.
