With a few major events behind us now – NBA and NHL seasons, the US Open, the major horse races, the French Open, we had a weekend full of drafts, World Cup games, some college baseball as well as some Boxing and MMA matches to watch.

MLB (46% of the way into the season)

· Mike Trout doing Mike Trout things – 10 runs, 9 RBI’s batting .486 with a .623 OBP and .838 SLG over his last two weeks.
· Trevor Bauer has now struck out at least 10 batters in his last five out of six games. (91% owned).

· Minnesota Lynx climbing up the standings with four consecutive wins outscoring their opponents by 48 points over that time.
· Diani Taurasi moving up the PPG rankings, sits at second with 20.2 PPG.
· VERY interesting article about wage gap in WNBA in relation to NBA (as a percentage of total revenue received). It is estimated that WNBA players receive 21.5% of league revenues vs. NBA players who receive close to 50% of league revenues (with many refs being paid more than the players). The main variable I want to see is how much fixed operational costs are (stadium and otherwise), after that it should be an apples to apples comparison.
NASCAR – Martin Truex Jr. wins at Sonoma
· Martin Truex Jr. holds comfortable lead, up 20 seconds over second place Kevin Harvick. He prompted Harvick to go to pit row earlier in the race by pretending to stop but continuing to race
