We are all suffering from the bye week syndrome in fantasy football this week. There were four teams on a bye in Week 6, but in Week 7 there will be six teams taking a week off. Those teams include the Buffalo Bills, the Dallas Cowboys, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Los Angeles Chargers, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. So all in all, we are going to be without a ton of relevant wide receivers in fantasy football this week. To help you find potential replacements at wide receiver, here are my top 50 wide receivers for Week 7 of the 2021 NFL season.

WR Rankings Week 7
RANK | NAME | TEAM | OPPONENT | NOTES |
---|---|---|---|---|
RANK | NAME | TEAM | OPPONENT | NOTES |
| Davante Adams | GB | vs. WAS | Has a league-high 36.3% target share and faces a WAS defense that is allowing the 2nd most points per game to WRs. |
| Tyreek Hill | KC | @ TEN | Hill draws the TEN defense that is surrendering the most points per game to WRs and is tied for the most TDs allowed to WRs (10). |
| Cooper Kupp | LAR | vs. DET | Stafford revenge game and Kupp is known to eat breakfast with Stafford, so expect him to continue his WR1 production. |
| DeAndre Hopkins | ARI | vs. HOU | Hopkins is primed for his best game of the season against his former team and has posted two straight games of 17+ fantasy points. |
| Deebo Samuel | SF | vs. IND | Samuel is clearly Trey Lance's favorite target and IND is tied with TEN for most TDs given up to WRs this season. |
| Terry McLaurin | WAS | @ GB | WAS could be playing catch up against GB, setting McLaurin up for a nice week against a Jaire Alexander-less secondary. |
| D.J. Moore | CAR | @ NYG | Moore has a 39.2% air yards share (11th among WRs) and a 29.6% target share for CAR (5th among WRs). More TDs will come for Moore in due time. |
| Calvin Ridley | ATL | @ MIA | Perfect get-right spot for Ridley as ATL is coming off of bye week and plays MIA, who could be without either/both of Byron Jones and Xavien Howard. |
| Marquise Brown | BAL | vs. CIN | Brown was quiet in Week 6, but he's still gone for either 50+ yards or at least one touchdown in 13 out of his last 14 games. |
| Antonio Brown | TB | vs. CHI | Brown might have the 3rd most targets on TB, but he's been the most effective when he's on the field. |
| Ja'Marr Chase | CIN | @ BAL | Slight downgrade for Chase this week against BAL, who just stifled the LAC offense in Week 6 to six points. |
| Mike Evans | TB | vs. CHI | TB is a pass-heavy offense and Evans is always capable of scoring at least one touchdown on any given week. |
| Courtland Sutton | DEN | @ CLE | Sutton is the clear No. 1 target for Bridgewater and CLE's defense has surrendered the 6th most points to WRs in 2021. |
| Robert Woods | LAR | vs. DET | Kupp is Stafford's best friend, but Woods could have another productive outing in Week 7 against a winless DET team. |
| Chris Godwin | TB | vs. CHI | Godwin has the 3rd most slot snaps in the NFL (198) and he catches passes from that Brady guy. |
| A.J. Brown | TEN | vs. KC | Brown has been banged up this season, but he finished with a season-high seven receptions for 91 yards in Week 6. If Julio is out for TEN, Brown sees a slight increase in his rankings. |
| Jaylen Waddle | MIA | vs. ATL | Waddle caught 10 passes for 70 yards and 2 TDs in Week 6. ATL's defense has given up the 10th most fantasy points per game to WRs this season. |
| D.K. Metcalf | SEA | vs. NO | It's hard to trust Metcalf with Geno Smith as his QB. That being said, NO's defense has permitted 40.16 points per game to WRs, which is the 11th most in the NFL. |
| Cordarrelle Patterson | ATL | @ MIA | Patterson is RB/WR eligible on most sites, so he is viable in Week 7 against MIA's declining defense. MIA has surrendered the most points to WRs in the past four weeks. |
| Sterling Shepard | NYG | vs. CAR | Shepard returned for the NYG in Week 6 and proceeded to catch 10 passes for 76 yards. The slot extraordinaire has seen 9+ targets in 3 out of the 4 games he's been active in. |
| DeVonta Smith | PHI | @ LV | Hurts has struggled in recent weeks, which has hurt Smith's value in recent weeks. Smith is still capable of having a big week with a couple of deep catches against LV. |
| Brandin Cooks | HOU | @ ARI | Cooks has the 4th highest target share in the NFL (32.9%) and the only thing preventing him from being higher in my rankings is the QB situation in HOU. |
| Jakobi Meyers | NE | vs. NYJ | Meyers is going to score a TD one of these weeks and it is going to be glorious. I'll go ahead and say he finds the end zone in Week 7 (I'll continue saying this until he scores). |
| Tee Higgins | CIN | @ BAL | Downgrades to WRs in CIN against BAL. Higgins has seen a combined 13 targets in his first two games back from injury. |
| Michael Pittman Jr. | IND | @ SF | This is a prove-it week for Wentz against SF. If Wentz can continue playing like he has in recent weeks, Pittman could be in for a massive week. |
| Tyler Lockett | SEA | vs. NO | The presence of Smith at QB hurts Metcalf/Lockett the most in SEA. Lockett is still talented enough to overcome bad QB play to be a top 30 WR. |
| Tim Patrick | DEN | @ CLE | If Jeudy is still inactive for DEN, Patrick has been an extremely viable WR3/flex option. Patrick has 4 straight games where he's garnered 5+ targets. |
| Christian Kirk | ARI | vs. HOU | Kirk is always capable of hitting a home run through the air with his 11.5 yards per target (9th among WRs). If Murray hits on multiple deep passes, there's a good chance Kirk was on the receiving end of at least one of them. |
| Darnell Mooney | CHI | @ TB | Mooney is Justin Fields' favorite target as he's totaled 34 fantasy points in half-PPR formats from Weeks 4-6, compared to Robinson's 20.3 points in the same span of time. |
| Julio Jones | TEN | vs. KC | It remains to be seen if Julio is able to suit up in Week 7. If Julio is active, then he's capable of having a productive week in a potential shootout against KC. |
| Henry Ruggs | LV | vs. PHI | Ruggs is beginning to build a decent rapport with Carr as he owns a average target distance of 18.8 yards (2nd highest among WRs). |
| Rondale Moore | ARI | vs. HOU | ARI is using Moore in a variety of ways and his aDOT of 2.5 yards goes to show that ARI wants to get him out in space. |
| Kadarius Toney | NYG | vs. CAR | Toney is questionable in Week 7 with an ankle injury. If Toney is able to suit up, he could see an increased workload if Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton are sidelined again. |
| A.J. Green | ARI | vs. HOU | Green has shown that he has a little bit left in the gas in ARI. The veteran wideout is WR33 this season and has a possibilty of catching a TD versus HOU's abysmal defense. |
| Allen Robinson | CHI | @ TB | Robinson has been largely disappointing, but this is a positive game script for him. TB's defense forces teams to throw more often, allowing the 5th most points to WRs this season. |
| Odell Beckham Jr. | CLE | vs. DEN | Beckham can't seem to find his footing with Mayfield under center. And with Mayfield dealing with a partially torn labrum --- and the possibility of Jarvis Landry returning --- Beckham is a risky play in fantasy football. |
| Tyler Boyd | CIN | @ BAL | Boyd is always going to be viable in PPR leagues, but he sees fewer opportunities when Chase and Higgins are on the field. |
| Corey Davis | NYJ | @ NE | Hard to trust NYJ's offense against NE in Week 7. Davis is the clear No. 1 WR on the NYJ, but Zach Wilson is in for a rough outing on Sunday. |
| Hunter Renfrow | LV | vs. PHI | Another fantastic PPR option as he's seen 6+ targets in 5 out of the first 6 weeks. Needs a red zone TD if he's going to score because he rarely creates yards after the catch. |
| Mecole Hardman | KC | @ TEN | One of the biggest boom-or-bust plays in fantasy football. Playing in KC's offense and facing TEN's defense makes Hardman a viable option in Week 7. |
| Marquez Callaway | NO | vs. SEA | Callaway should see a bigger role in NO's offense coming out of the bye week. Saw 8 targets in his previous outing against WAS in Week 5. |
| Robby Anderson | CAR | @ NYG | Anderson is going to turn his targets into meaningful production at some point, right? Had 3 receptions for a putrid 11 yards and a TD in Week 6. |
| T.Y. Hilton | IND | @ SF | Hilton left Week 6 with a quad injury, but it could have just been a precaution to remove him from the game. If Hilton is active in Week 7, he becomes the No. 2 wideout in IND's offense alongside Pittman. |
| Van Jefferson | LAR | vs. DET | Stafford has shown a tendency to target Jefferson down the field as evidenced by his aDOT of 13.1 yards. Gets DET's makeshift secondary in Week 7. |
| DeVante Parker | MIA | vs. ATL | Parker could return to the field in Week 7 after missing the past two weeks. With Tagovailoa back at QB, MIA's WRs see a boost moving forward. |
| Amon-Ra St. Brown | DET | @ LAR | St. Brown has a cool name and might be the most trustworthy WR on DET's offense right now. Play with caution as DET continues to figure out what their plan is on offense. |
| Rashod Bateman | BAL | vs. CIN | Bateman led BAL with 6 targets in Week 6 and if Watkins misses another week, the rookie WR is poised for a larger role in Week 7. |
| Nelson Agholor | NE | vs. NYJ | Either Agholor or Bourne is a candidate to be the No. 2 WR for NE in any given week. I'll go with Agholor after Bourne lucked out with a 75 yard TD in Week 6. |
| Jamison Crowder | NYJ | @ NE | Crowder is going to see plenty of targets, but whether or not Wilson can get the ball to him is another story. |
| Brandon Aiyuk | SF | vs. IND | Aiyuk is missing and if anyone has seen him, report your findings to Kyle Shanahan and SF. Could see role increase out of the bye week and against IND's injured secondary. |
