Week Ten Quick Hits Recap

Baltimore at Tennessee 1:00 p.m.

Geez, Steve McNair throws for well over 300 yards and 3 TDs?  Who saw that coming?  (crickets)

Buffalo at Indianapolis 1:00 p.m.

RB Anthony Thomas was good for 100+ yards, and, to the relief of frustrated McGahee owners, he didn't score any touchdowns.  Did JP Losman really complete just nine passes?

While Domanick Rhodes gained 72 yards or 14 carries, Jospeh Addai had the touchdown.  Can't say I'd feel comfortable starting Addai in shallow leagues.  10 teams?  No.  12 teams?  Maybe.

Cleveland at Atlanta 1:00 p.m.

If you had WR Roddy White starting, raise you hand.  (more crickets)

Green Bay at Minnesota 1:00 p.m.

Donald Driver made all his owners forget about rookie WR Greg Jennings.  Given Jenning's injured ankle, his owners may begin to forget, too.

Is the Brooks Bollinger Era ready to begin?  Could an organization plan so poorly that they backed-up a 38-year-old QB with Brooks Bollinger?

Houston at Jacksonville 1:00 p.m.

Despite the presence of fantasy stud Andre Johnson, this game's statistics are sickening - no passing TDs, no RB with more than 67 yards and no WR with more than RB Fred taylors 71 yards.

Kansas City at Miami 1:00 p.m.

Is Miami back?  Will there be a stampede to pick-up the Dolphins Defense on Tuesday morning?

Can a Dolphins fan begin to believe in Ronnie Brown again?

Damon Huard certainly picked a bad time for a bad game.  15-38 against a 2-6 club does not keep a QB controversy from budding.

N.Y. Jets at New England 1:00 p.m.

Rookie RB Leon Washignton came back to Earth while Kevan Barlow had his best game this year.  No fantasy teams should be starting Jets RBs until an injury in the fantasy play-offs.

Tom Brady couldn't pull a WR out of his hat this week.  Is it possible their lack of one will finally begin to damage the team?

San Diego at Cincinnati 1:00 p.m.

QB Phillip Rivers is a legitimate Top 10 QB.  Interestingly enough, none of his WRs are fantasy starters despite this.

Malcom Floyd couldn't be that WR, could he?

Doesn't it suck that the Bengals offense finally plays up to fantasy expections (Palmer 440 yards/3TDs, Johnson 85 yards/1TD, Johnson 220 yards/2 TDs) and the defense allows seven TDs?

San Francisco at Detroit 1:00 p.m.

You had to know the Lions laying six was going to end badly for anyone who took them, didn't you?

Frank Gore finally had a great game and he gets a concussion?  Maurice Hicks, here we come!

In his last five games, QB Alex Smith averaged 142.2 yards passing.  After this game, it is 141.2.

Washington at Philadelphia 1:00 p.m.

WR Santana Moss still has one game this year in which he caught a TD.

Who thinks WR Dante Stallworth will have a second consecutive good game next week?  (tired crickets.)

Denver at Oakland 4:05 p.m.

How can Denver be 7-2 and have no sure-thing fantasy starters?  Thank God D.Nash only had 14 yards on his four carries; otherwise, Tatum bell and Mike Bell owners would be in fear of both backs being benched.

Nice 12 yards on those 10 carries, Lamont.

Dallas at Arizona 4:15 p.m.

Tony Romo is for real.  A couple TDs and 300 yards says so.  And very nice way to integrate Owens and Witten into the passing game.

Edgerrin James averaged 4.5 ypc!  Edgerrin James averaged 4.5 ypc!  No if he'd just stop fumbling.

New Orleans at Pittsburgh 4:15 p.m.

Damn you, Brees!  Two more yards and I'd have had another point!

How can Willie Parker have 200+ yards rushing with two TDs, and Ben Roethlisberger throw 3 TDs with no picks, and the Steelers barely hang-on?

St. Louis at Seattle 4:15 p.m.

Thank you for your help, Seneca and Maurice.  Now go back to the bench
