Questions for Panthers/Bengals & Lions/Jets

Carolina at Cincinnati 1:00 p.m.

Will the Panthers avec Steve Smith suffer their first loss on the road at the enigmatic Bengals?

With the news that rookie sleeper(-ing) RB D'Angelo Williams out for a month, give DeShaun the peace of mind to have a big game against the struggling Bengals' run defense?

The Bengals have been bad, and the Panthers are not the type of team to get better on.  However, Carson Palmer is an elite-level QB.  Which wins, the Panthers defense or Palmer's ability?

WR Chad Johnson is easily not the best fantasy WR on the Bengals - so far.  Will that change?  FWIW, the best has been the 2nd WR - Kelley Washington, Chris Henry and TJ Houshmandzadeh.

Detroit at N.Y. Jets 1:00 p.m.

This has the makings of a trap game for the Jets.  Coming off an "inspiring" victory against the Dolphins, the JEts may be looking ahead to their bye week in Week Nine as a 5-3 team with games against the Lions and Texans.

However, the Jets can't pressure the pass or stop the run.  Will the NFL's 3rd-highest passing yards QB, Jon Kitna, deliver?  Will a receiver other than Roy Williams benefit?

Will RB Kevin Jones have his second consecutive 100+ yard game and 4th out of five quality performances?

The Jets should be able to throw the ball against the Lions, but will this be another week where the lack of a running game cripples the offense a la Jacksonville?

Will the Jets be caught looking ahead?

A serious fantasy question is WR Jerricho Cotchery.  He was added in most leagues following his 3 TDs in the first four games.  In the next two weeks, he has five receptions for 55 yards and no TDs.  Which version shows-up?
