Track

Kansas Speedway — Built in 1999, this 1.5 mile tri-oval asphalt track has been hosting two races annually since 2011. The track’s distance and shape mimic Charlotte and Las Vegas most closely. The turns hold a 17-20 degree tilt, the front stretch is 9-11 and the backstretch is 5 degrees. This track hosts a number of events including two NASCAR Cup series, an Xfinity series, a Camping World Truck Series and a ARCA Menards series. This track hosted the first races for Denny Hamlin, Austin Dillon, Ryan Blaney and Erik Jones.

Favorites

Kevin Harvick (second selection this year) — Harvick has been strong at Talladega lately, his last seven times at this track have yielded five finishes inside the top five. He has had some mixed success with top 10 finishes in two of his last four races.

Martin Truex Jr. (fourth selection this year) — Truex Jr. has a long and storied track record at Kansas with seven top 10 finishes between 2017 and current including two wins. He has two wins in his last six races this season.

High Risk/High Reward

Erik Jones (second selection this year) — Doubling down on Jones who has fared well at Kansas the last few years. Jones has just one top 10 finish in his last six races.

Matt DiBenedetto (second selection this year) — DiBenedetto finished 10th and 12th at Kansas last year. He also finished top 20 at two of the Charlotte races and 2nd at Las Vegas. Matt has been among the top 10 each of the last two races (his first two top 10s of the season).

The Dark Horse

Tyler Reddick (third selection this year) — Reddick is a solid longer track racer. Across the last five regular season races at Charlotte, Las Vegas and Kansas, he’s finished in the top 20 four times. He likely won’t be top 10, but I could see him being 15th or better.

Fun Fact: As you can tell- fans got to name this race.
