The San Francisco 49ers have signed tight end Jordan Reed.
Former Washington Football Team Pro Bowl TE Jordan Reed reached agreement on an incentive-laden, one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers, sources tell ESPN. Reed is 30, has a history of concussions, but when healthy - as he is now - he is one of the game’s elite tight ends.

Fantasy Impact
If Reed can stay healthy, he’s in an offense that certainly knows how to drum up tight end production. With Deebo Samuel likely missing the first few games of the NFL season, there’s potentially a role for Reed to see some solid usage to start the year. However, Reed has never been able to stay healthy in his NFL career so him reliably making an impact on the field is a big if. This shouldn’t cause Reed to suddenly be draftable but he’s not a bad name to keep eyes on the waiver wire.
