San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert has requested a trade after unproductive contract negotiations.
After months of unproductive talks with the 49ers about fairly adjusting Raheem Mostert's contract (which paid him for special teams) we have requested a trade. Disappointing that it would come to this for a guy who led all NFL RBs in YPC & helped lead them to the Super Bowl.— Brett Tessler (@TesslerSports) July 8, 2020
Mostert has been a popular fantasy pick as a guy going as a backend RB2 who could easily be a RB1 in San Fran. Now things don’t look so clear as we’ll wait and see what comes of this request. All I can tell you now is buy Tevin Coleman stock. If Mostert does get traded, Coleman becomes the top dog on an offense that we know can run the football.
