We’re on a bit of a roll, with back to back weeks of making a little return on my DFS lineups. My Week 14 selections finished in the top 18% of lineups thanks to top performances from Aaron Rodgers, David Montgomery, Davante Adams and Russell Gage, with Wayne Gallman, Marvin Jones and Collin Johnson all failing to achieve the heights I was hoping for.
We have a smaller Sunday slate in Week 15, thanks to a pair of games on Saturday night (you can find my Saturday night DFS lineup here), and therefore we have just nine games to select from. Here is my Week 15 Draft Kings Sunday main slate lineup and the reasons why I’m picking them this week.
QB: Drew Brees vs Kansas City Chiefs ($5900)
The news that Brees is set to return off IR and start Sunday vs the Chiefs will be music to Alvin Kamara managers’ ears and makes his DFS value a steal this week, in what could be a shootout in the Superdome.
RB: Derrick Henry vs Detroit Lions ($9500)
Henry is the highest priced DFS player in Week 15 but the cost to value is insane against Lions defense that is 31st in points allowed to running backs. Henry needs 468 yards for 2,000 on the season and should get a big chunk of those this week.
RB: Jonathan Taylor vs Houston Texans ($7200)
If Henry has a favorable match up against the Lions, the Taylor has an even better one against the Texans who give up the most fantasy points to running backs, including 27.5 to David Montgomery last week. Taylor had 150 yards and two touchdowns against the Raiders last week and will be raring to go again as the Colts try to keep pace with the Titans in the AFC South.
WR: Justin Jefferson vs Chicago Bears ($7300)
It was a down week for Jefferson last week against the Bucs, scoring under 10 points for the the first time in over a month. Though he faces a Bears defense that has been strong against the pass, they have still allowed multiple 20 point scoring receivers this season and Jefferson is still great value at $7300 this week.
WR: Russell Gage vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($4700)
With Julio Jones out again this week, Gage retains his place in my lineup. The Bucs have been fierce against the run but below average against the pass and Gage is primed for another game where will push towards 10 targets and add value to your lineups.
WR: Michael Gallup vs San Francisco 49ers ($3500)
Gallup is my value play this week in a must win game for both the Cowboys and 49ers. He’s seeing an average of over eight targets per game in the past three weeks and has the talent to go off in any given week and that’s what I’m hoping for this week.
TE: Irv Smith Jr. vs Chicago Bears ($3600)
I’m looking for value at the tight end position this week and Smith is in a great position to deliver that. With Kyle Rudolph out, Smith has the opportunity to capitalise on his best return of the year last week against the Bears, who allow the fourth most points to tight ends.
FLEX: T.Y. Hilton vs Houston Texans ($5500)
The old T.Y. Hilton is back after consecutive games with 25 or more fantasy points. He faces the Texans and their below average pass defense this week and should continue to produce solid fantasy numbers in the flex for me.
DST: Minnesota Vikings vs Chicago Bears ($2800)
Needing a cheap defense this week to allow me the rest of my lineup, the Vikings at home against a bottom half offense feels like a good value play. They had 10 points in the reverse fixture at Soldier Field back in Week 10 and if I can get that from the Vikings again, I’d say that’s a good return for the cost invested.
