Track
Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Built as a road course with a drag strip in 1972. It was later purchased by Richie Clyne and morphed into the current track in 1996. The 1.5 mile asphalt oval has banking turns of 20 degrees with a front and backstretch of 9 degrees. The track itself has seen success in ratings and revenue brought in. So much so that it will be taking the race from New Hampshire in 2018.

Power Rankings
The Favorites
Brad Keselowski (sixth selection this year) — Brad has averaged a fourth place finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway over the last three years. Brad finished 38th last week but he now has top 10 finishes in five of his last seven races.
Joey Logano (seventh selection this year) — Joey has averaged a fourth place finish here over the last three years (echo echo echo). Joey comes in fresh off a 2nd place finish last week but prior to that he had five consecutive races outside the top 10 so I’m not super confident on this one.
High Risk / High Reward
Ryan Blaney (third selection this year) — In his three years here Blaney has averaged sixth overall with top ten finishes across the board. Ryan comes into this race with top 15 finishes in seven of his last eight races.
Erik Jones (fifth selection this year) — So Erik finished 39th at Indiana big whoop, wanna fight about it? Guess how he’s done in the next race after a finish worse than 30 this season: 4th, 3rd, 8th. Add to this he finished eight here last year.
The Dark Horse
Paul Menard (fifth selection this year) — Not only has Paul Menard been a top 20 finisher the last three years (for an average finish of 14th place) at Las Vegas but he also comes into this race with back to back top 10 finishes at both Darlinton and Indiana.
