The Winter Meetings in San Diego are underway and there will be several free agent signings and trades over the next few days. Several big names are close to signing free agent deals including former Red Sox starter Jon Lester and former Padres/Yankees third baseman Chase Headley, as both have several teams very interested in signing them.
Lester is being pursued by the Red Sox, Cubs, Giants and Dodgers with offers ranging in the 6 year, $130-140 million range. But, will any team add a 7th year to their offer to finish the deal? It could happen.
Headley apparently has a 4 year, $65 million offer in hand but the only team showing real interest in him other than the Yankees, the Giants, indicate they are not the team to make that offer to him. Could the Marlins jump into the mix and sign him?
How about Max Scherzer? Who is showing interest in signing him with all of the pitchers available via trade this offseason?
With that said, who will be the biggest names traded in the coming week? Matt Kemp? Justin Upton? Jordan Zimmermann? Johnny Cueto? Jeff Samardzija? Yoenis Cespedes?
Let's hear your thoughts on who will be traded this week and to whom, and for what?
