  • Netherlands Ireen Wust won the gold at 1500 meters for a fifth consecutive individual medal at the Winter Olympics.
  • Kamila Valieva (ROC) became the first woman to land a quadruple jump at the Winter Games.

  • Nils van der Poel set a world record in the men’s 5,000 meter speed skating event at 6:08.84.
  • Slovenia takes the gold at the first inaugural mixed team ski jumping event.

  • Denise Herrmann (Ger) won the gold in Women’s 15km individual competition. This makes Germany the only NOC to win multiple Olympics golds in women’s individual biathlon.
  • Beat Feux (SWI) wins the men’s downhill while Johan Clarey (FRA) becomes the oldest Olympic medalist in Alpine skiing (41 years old).
