Following the 2018 season, the three quarterbacks of the 2016 NFL Draft appeared destined for greatness after their third season. In that draft, the Los Angeles Rams selected Jared Goff with the first overall pick. He was followed by Carson Wentz, picked by the Philadelphia Eagles. The Dallas Cowboys didn’t select Dak Prescott until the fourth round, the eighth quarterback taken. Three seasons later, all three were coming off of playoff seasons and had reached the Pro Bowl.
Now obviously, Wentz and Goff are on new teams while Prescott is in the midst of a very contentious contract negation with the Cowboys. So after five years, where do the quarterbacks sit with fans?
According to the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey, fans around the country expect Prescott to have the best season of the three in just about every important category. That being said, fans clearly have high hopes for Wentz and the Indianapolis Colts, with Wentz still getting 41% of the votes for most QB wins in 2021. This Colts team could be really good if Wentz can play more like his 2019 self and less like his 2020 self.

When talking about the quarterback play specifically, it shouldn’t come as a shock that most fans think Prescott is the overwhelming favorite in this category. 72 percent of fans think Prescott will score the most touchdowns (passing and rushing), followed by 18 percent for Wentz and 10 percent for Goff. (Wentz and Goff this close is a little surprising given that Wentz is on a talented Colts team while Goff is on the Detroit Lions, who are not a talented football team.)

Even pure-passing is expected to favor Prescott, according to the fans. 61 percent of fans think Dak will have the best passer rating this season, regardless of what team he plays for in 2020.
