2021 Fantasy Football: 5 Bold Predictions for NFL Week 9

Mark is feeling the Love this week!

Here we are, just past the halfway point already. I am feeling the Love this week from Green Bay.

1.) Jordan Love is a top 10 quarterback.

Justification: Little game tape to study, a solid offensive line with plenty of weapons. Oh and I did I mention he’s facing a very porous Kansas City defense? I think Love has a favorable situation ahead of him for his first career start.

2.) Mike Williams finishes outside the top 15 wide receivers.

Justification: Justin Herbert appears to really enjoy throwing to Austin Ekeler and Keenan Allen. He has targeted Williams at least 10 times in just two games this season, and more often than not Williams is catching less than 50% of his targets. Mike is coming off knee issues and faces a strong Philadelphia secondary.

3.) Pat Freiermuth (32% rostered) is a top 10 tight end.

Justification: Pittsburgh is facing a Chicago defense that is strong against short yardage tight end options, but Freiermuth has seven targets in each of the last two games (including a score last week). He has caught 22 of his 27 targets this season, an 81% catch rate.

4.) Myles Gaskin either gets his first rushing score or has his first game with 100+ rushing yards.

Justification: With 15 carries in each of the last two games, the Dolphins are relying more on him. He faces a Texans defense that has allowed four rushing touchdowns over the last three games.

5.) Cincinnati Bengals vs. Cleveland Browns has an over/under of 47—give me the over at 50 points.

Justification: Three of the last four matchups between these two has amounted to well over 50 points, the Bengals have totaled 47 points in three of their last four games (the one exception had 45 points) and Cleveland is returning to health (mostly) on offense.
