Welcome to my weekly Fantasy Hockey Forecaster! In here you’ll find my:

• Top 3 waiver wire adds (50% rostered or less at ESPN)
• Top 3 players who have gone “cold”
• Each team’s schedule ranking based on opponent’s points allowed, where the #1 ranked team plays teams allowing the most points so far this season.

Top 3 Waiver Wire Adds (under 50% rostered)

• Boone Jenner (C,LW CBJ) 35% owned. On the Blue Jackets top line Boone continues to shine. Across the last two weeks he has four goals, two assists and two power play points as well as 80 faceoffs won.
• Tage Thompson (C, Buff) 36% owned. He’s on the Sabres top line with Jeff Skinner and Victor Olofsson. He has five goals, an assist, 21 SOG and a handful of faceoffs won in the process. He’s young and showing his talent to the Sabres organization.
• Jake Oettinger (G, Dal) 43% owned. Quite simply, pick him up if he’s available. He has a load of potential, and the only question is whether or not the team starts him regularly.

Top 3 Players Gone Cold (over 50% rostered)

• Patrick Kane (RW, CHI) 99% owned. Kane has gone cold as of late with just one point (an assist) across his last five games along with a -4. He has not scored on his last 18 shots on goal.
• Andrei Svechnikov (LW,RW CAR) 100% owned. Andrei has two points (one goal and one assist) across his last six games. He has gone seven games without a PPP and he is -1 across his last four games.
• Ilya Sorokin (G, NYI) 93% owned. The Islanders are struggling as of late and Ilya is no exception. He has not won his last four starts and has allowed 3+ goals in three of his last four starts.
