Chicago Bears’ running back David Montgomery is expect to miss 2-4 weeks with a groin injury he sustained in practice on Wednesday.
#Bears starting RB David Montgomery, who went down in practice yesterday with a groin injury, is expected to be out 2-4 weeks, source said. That gives him a chance of being out on the field for the opener vs. the #Lions.

Fantasy Impact
Montgomery was all set to start for the Bears Week 1 but it seems like that won’t happen now. After a disappointing season, there was hope that Montgomery might start this year off stronger now being a year into Matt Nagy’s offense. With no Montgomery, I would expect to see a larger workload for Tarik Cohen on rushing downs (he already is a big contributor in the passing game).
