New England Patriots’ running back Sony Michel had surgery on his foot this offseason and may start the year on the PUP list.
News story: Patriots RB Sony Michel recovering from foot surgery, per sources. The surgery was viewed as more maintenance-based to relieve discomfort. How Michel’s rehab progresses will determine if he opens training camp on PUP. https://t.co/iH4e1JgBUn

Fantasy Impact
While you hope the surgery helped whatever was ailing his foot, it’s not great to hear about as Michel has dealt with his far share of lower body injuries since entering the league. I still view James White as the top back in New England fantasy wise (especially in PPR leagues) but if Michel does miss time, that would give a boost to second year back Damien Harris. It’s early so no real reason to panic quite yet, but certainly news worth noting.
