The Los Angeles Chargers and running back Austin Ekeler have agreed upon a four-year deal worth $24.5 million.
Chargers and restricted free-agent RB Austin Ekeler reached agreement on a four-year, $24.5 million deal that includes $15 million guaranteed, sources tell ESPN.@camRONweiss of @DynamicSportGrp and @Chargers’ EVP Ed McGuire have been negotiating the deal since early January.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 6, 2020
This is terrific for fantasy football. Ekeler emerged as a fantasy God when he took over the Chargers’ backfield with Melvin Gordon out and still put together strong performances with Gordon back. Now Ekeler gets to stay in an offense that suits him and will likely be the lead back heading into 2020. He finished RB4 in PPR leagues last year and should be considered a top 15 back this year.
