Clint Capela to the Hawks, Robert Covington to the Rockets in 4-team mega deal

We have our first BIG trade of the NBA deadline.

The NBA trade deadline got going last night with a four team deal between the Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Atlanta Hawks, and Denver Nuggets. The Rockets got Robert Covington, Jordan Bell; The Hawks got Clint Capela, Nene; The Wolves got Malik Beasley, Juancho Hernangomez, Evan Turner, and Jarred Vanderbilt; The Nuggets got Shabazz Napier, Gerald Green, and Keira Bates-Diop.

Fantasy Impact

Capela will be great in Atlanta playing alongside Trae Young and I’m not worried at all about a change in scenery affecting his value. It will however likely impact John Collins a little bit as he’ll no longer be the primary block/rebounder for the Hawks. Covington will get his opportunities to shoot threes on the Rockets and should continue to see over 30 minutes a game starting for Houston at the four. Napier’s hot streak takes a hit as he won’t be starting for the Nuggets.
