NFL Week 13 is almost here (still that pesky Ravens vs Steelers game to play) and with it comes my fantasy football quarterback rankings for the week.
After last week’s showing against Tampa Bay, Patrick Mahomes is the overall QB1 for the rest of the year.
Will Fuller’s suspension drops Deshaun Watson to the mid-tier QB1 ranks but there’s a chance that Fuller’s (and recently cut Kenny Stills) absence leads to more rushing work for Watson, increasing his fantasy outlook.
A motley crew of Taysom Hill, Kirk Cousins, and Ryan Tannehill take up the last three QB1 spots.
Mike Glennon is on the streaming radar against Minnesota after his solid showing last week.
Colt McCoy is not a great fill-in for Daniel Jones.
Week 13’s Tiered Quarterback Rankings
|Patrick Mahomes||KC||DEN||After demolishing Tampa Bay's talented defensive unit last week, there's no reason to keep Mahomes out of the QB1 spot for the remainder of the year.
|Josh Allen||BUF||at SF||Banged up D-Line bodes well for Allen's rushing.
|Justin Herbert||LAC||NE||Herbert posted his "worst" performance since Week 3 last week, which involved him throwing for over 300 yards.
|Aaron Rodgers||GB||PHI||Rodgers' should have no issue picking apart the Eagles' lacking pass defense.
|Ryan Tannehill||TEN||CLE||Great match-up and the Titans' offense is rolling.
|Deshaun Watson||HOU||IND||The six-game suspension of Will Fuller is a big blow. Depending on whether or not they re-sign Kenny Stills, Watson may rush much more frequently.
|Kyler Murray||ARI||LAR||Murray's injured shoulder may be decreasing his willingness to run.
|Ben Roethlisberger||PIT||WAS||Pittsburgh's pass catching corps is unreal.
|Russell Wilson||SEA||NYG||The day's of Seattle being a pass-first offense appear to be over. Don't say you we didn't warn you.
|Taysom Hill||NO||at ATL||Hill should feast on ATL's terrible defense.
|Kirk Cousins||MIN||JAX||Low-key shootout on tap.
|Ryan Fitzpatrick||MIA||CIN||Terrific match-up and a fearless thrower.
|Lamar Jackson||BAL||DAL||If he's available to play, he has a good match-up. Losing Mark Andrews to COVID-19 potentially increases Jackson's rushing usage.
|Philip Rivers||IND||at HOU||Good match-up.
|Mike Glennon||JAX||at MIN||The match-up is good enough for Glennon to considered as a streamer. Hopefully the receiving corps is a little healthier this week.
|Andy Dalton||DAL||at BAL||Could be a cake walk, depending on what Baltimore's roster is looking like.
|Baker Mayfield||CLE||at TEN||Outstanding match-up.
|Mitchell Trubisky||CHI||DET||Trubisky's has found success a number of times when facing Detroit.
|Matt Ryan||ATL||NO||Potentially a high-scoring affair but will need Julio to return for Ryan to stay this high.
|Cam Newton||NE||LAC||The biggest boom/bust QB of the year.
|Jared Goff||LAR||at ARI||Goff's weekly variance is that of a roller coaster. Not a tough match-up though so there's a chance for good results.
|Derek Carr||LV||at NYJ||The Jets' defense is a cure-all but it's possible they just ride the legs of Josh Jacobs to victory.
|Carson Wentz||PHI||at GB||Wentz looks dreadful.
|Alex Smith||WAS||at PIT||It will be tough for Smith to handle Pittsburgh's pass rush.
|Matthew Stafford||DET||at CHI||Brutal match-up. Here's hoping Kenny Golladay (hip) returns to the lineup.
|Nick Mullens||SF||BUF||Tough match-up.
|Sam Darnold||NYJ||LV||Both teams have good pass catchers and bad pass defenses so there's hope for a shootout. Head coach Adam Gase is off the rails though so Darnold is tough to trust.
|Drew Lock||DEN||at KC||Banking on garbage time is never a good option.
|Colt McCoy||NYG||at SEA||Cake match-up but horrible player.
|Brandon Allen||CIN||at MIA||Brutal match-up.
