Tua Tagovailoa named starting quarterback for the Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins have named Tua Tagovailoa their starting quarterback, replacing Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Fantasy Impact

Sadly this means the Ryan Fitzmagic train is officially over and those who’ve been relying on his magic in fantasy (your’s truly) must move on. Having seen very little of Tua in action, my initial thoughts are a boost to Myles Gaskin and Mike Gesicki as those are positions rookie quarterbacks tend to rely on and tick down for DeVante Parker and Preston Williams. We’ll have to wait and see though. Outside of fantasy, this is great to see for Tua who came back from a major injury his senior year at Alabama.
