Washington’s running back Derrius Guice had an MRI this morning on his knee and is likely to miss time moving forward. He recorded 18 yards on 10 carries and 20 yards receiving on three catches Sunday against the Eagles.
Sources: #Redskins RB Derrius Guice had an MRI this morning on the other, non-ACL knee and he’s likely to miss some time. The hope is he does not need surgery, but the team is doing a full evaluation. He gained 18 yards on 10 carries, looking like he wasn’t himself.

This just freaking sucks. After missing all last season with a torn ACL, it seems Guice has now tweaked his other knee. Hopefully this won’t be anything serious and will only keep him out a little bit. While he certainly didn’t look fully up to speed Sunday, you hoped that he’d knock the rust off with the starting gig locked up and become a stable back in the league. Now, this opens the door for Adrian Peterson to return to Washington’s backfield, but really this is going to mean a lot of work for Chris Thompson. If he’s available in your PPR league, go get him. He had a great game Sunday and his already big role is sure to increase with the unfortunate Guice news.
