Nick Foles suffered a broken clavicle against the Chiefs

The Jaguars starting quarterback Nick Foles suffered a broken clavicle against the Chiefs Sunday. He will be out indefinitely.

Fantasy Impact

While Nick Foles wasn’t a starting quarterback on many people’s rosters (you’d have to be in a very, very deep league to have to start him), his injury still has branching fantasy impacts. Right off the bat, one of my favorite sleepers in Dede Westbrook takes a hit, along with presumably most of the Jaguars receiving core. That being said, second year receiver DJ Chark looked pretty good when Foles was out, playing with now presumed starter rookie Gardner Minshew. If Minshew can replicate his 22 for 25, 275 yard, two touchdown performance week in and week out, then who cares about the Foles injury, Jaguars receivers might actually get a boost from this. (Then again, the Jags won’t be playing a still bad Chiefs defense every week.)

The injury gives a slight bump to Leonard Fournette in my mind who will see more work with Minshew under center. I give him a bump even though he’ll likely be facing a few more stacked boxes, the workload will be on him once again to move the offense and I think he’ll be able to make it happen
